![econopass thoughts](https://econopass.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/econopass-thoughts.jpg "econopass thoughts")**There are two pieces on Econopass this week that I think are worth your time.**

The first is for anyone who has quietly stopped reading — not from lack of interest, but from lack of stillness. Lila writes about how she finished fourteen books last year without opening a single one. It is a practical piece, honestly told, and it might change a small but meaningful part of your daily routine.

The second is for anyone approaching a wedding — their own, or someone close to them. A registry is not a formality. Approached with intention, it is one of the most civilised things a couple can do for their guests, and for themselves. I wrote this one.

## A Note We Think Is Worth Making

Econopass exists because we genuinely enjoy sharing what we know. Lila on wellness and family, me on travel and the way places shape a life. We do not take this lightly — every piece is researched, considered, and written with care.

We also do not live on ***amour et d’eau fraîche*** (love & fresh water). Good content takes real time, and time, as it turns out, has a cost.

When you shop through our links, you pay exactly what you would pay regardless. We simply receive a small acknowledgement in return — enough to keep the lights on and the content coming. No algorithms pushed in your face, no brands we don’t believe in, no noise.

Just recommendations we stand behind, and a quiet thank-you when you choose to use them.

We appreciate it more than you might think.
